# Credits & pricing

Credits are platform usage credits that meter the build tools, Agent Builder evals, harness runs and Autopilots. They are not a token and not a distribution. Packages are priced in USD and re-priced twice a day against live SOL, USDC and $TOS prices; paying with $TOS is always 20% cheaper.

### Packages

- Token amounts are recomputed at **00:00 and 12:00 UTC** (platform cron); if a reprice is missed the next quote reprices inline after 13 hours. Live sheet: `GET /api/credits/pricing`.
- The on-chain amount may be up to 3% under the sheet (fees / rounding) and is matched against the sheet in force at purchase time.
- Bigger packs simply hold more credits per dollar: the bonus credits are added to the wallet with the purchase (`bonus_credits` / `granted_credits` on the sheet and in the purchase response).
- New wallets receive a one-time **40-credit signup bonus** (global cap of 500 bonuses per day; blocklisted wallets excluded).

### Buying credits

1. **Open the credit modal** — From the workspace header or /dashboard. Pick a package and a method: SOL, USDC or $TOS.
2. **Pay** — The modal reads the pay-to treasury and exact token amount from the pricing quote and builds the transfer; Phantom signs it.
3. **Confirm** — `POST /api/purchase-credits` with `{wallet_address, credits, payment_method, transaction_signature, amount}`. The server verifies the transaction on chain (recipient, amount against the sheet) and credits the wallet. Idempotent on the signature.

> **Tip — Refunds**
> Credits are deducted atomically when work starts and refunded automatically when generation fails (build, iterate, changelog). Refund failures are logged for reconciliation; contact support with your task id if a refund is missing.

### Balances and history

- **GET** `/api/user-credits/{wallet}` · Public

  Projects, tokens, credits and transactions for your own wallet.

- **POST** `/api/purchase-credits` · Public
  Confirm an on-chain purchase (idempotent on signature).

Every grant, deduction and refund is a row in the immutable `credit_transactions` ledger with an idempotency key. Admin grants and deductions are admin-session gated and audited.

### Referrals and share bonus

Usage credits for growing the platform — platform credits, not tokens and not distributions.

Tracking is rate-limited (6 / minute per IP, 8 / minute per code, 50 lifetime per code) and each invited wallet is counted once.
